With lots of savings to be made on tickets if you pre-book and with children’s tickets being less than£10, a day or an evening at the cricket is a perfect way to spend a summer evening.
Football Ramsgate is home to Isthmian League South East Division team, Ramsgate FC, a few miles away are their slightly more successful local rivals Margate FC. Surfing Thanet boasts a huge surfing hotspot hidden in one of its 15 sandy beaches, in the shape of JossBay. This is the first original surf beach of Kent and was the hub of surfing in the area from the 1960s until the late 1990s and offers sand bars, and chalkreefs. Today, people come from across the country to learn at the Joss Bay Surf School, or to come to the annual Surf festival ‘Wheels and Fins Festival’. Furthermore, other water sports, such as sailing, windsurfing and body boarding are available all along the Kent coast.
